Let's fix America
MISSION STATEMENT
Voters Of America is a Co-op whose members are registered American voters. Each member is an owner in the organization. Our board of directors is to consist of one board member from each state except Texas which will have three, California with three, New York with two, and Florida with two. Board members will total 56, which is the number of our original founders. The board will be elected by the members of each state.
We have organized Voters of America for the purpose of uniting the majority of American voters to select, and elect, a truly representative voice in Washington. Our goal is to select candidates who agree to do in Washington precisely what the voters authorize them to do, no more and no less, and to establish a right of the people to immediately recall any elected official in Washington who fails to do exactly what they were elected to do by the voters.
Selected candidates in each voting district will sign a "Contract of Intent" outlining the goals and issues of the voters in their district. Both voters and candidates will have a copy as a matter of record. Voters will be able to monitor job performance and voting record and the candidate will have a "to do" list for their term.
VOA will also put on the agenda list for the candidates that term limits will be set for congressional representatives and a right of recall amendment.
We are an organization which believes as follows:
1. We believe we are a nation of laws, not a government of men, and that those laws are outlined in the Constitution and our Bill of Rights.
2. We believe the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were intended to be, and should always remain, durable and lasting; that they were never intended to be considered as "living", "evolving" or "ever changing" because such a document may as well have been, as Thomas Jefferson said : " a blank piece of paper."
3. We further believe that any interpretation of these documents should always have been and should always be in the future, with respect to the VIEWS and the INTENT of the founders with consideration to the spirit of those intentions. No modern interpretation nor international flavoring.
4. We believe America is a sovereign nation unto herself and is not beholding to another nation or international views. No international body shall be recognized as having any authority over any state, citizen, or business entity as we recognize only American law.
5. We reject the ideas of socialism, Marxism, Fascism, and communism and see in them the failed and corrupt concepts history has proven them to be.
6. We believe a welfare state is unconstitutional.
7. We believe in property rights and see them as the very heart and foundation of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
8. We believe in a free market, free enterprise, and capitalism as the only social system ever proven to provide prosperity for society as a whole. We believe in equal opportunity but not equal things.
9. We believe you have every right to your success and the equal right to fail.
10. We believe in individual rights and individual responsibility.
11. We believe that only a virtuous and moral society can remain free.
12. We believe in a small and limited central government and that problems should be solved on the state and local level in every possible case.
13. We believe in states rights and intend to see them restored.
14. We believe that laws are natural laws and that no government has any LEGAL right to do anything which would be considered unlawful if done by the individual.
15. We believe that it is not possible for a people to authorize any government to perform any action which would be considered unlawful if done by the individual.
16. We believe that the federal government and the federal courts have violated our constitutional rights, have violated natural law, confiscated personal and private property, circumvented the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, have become corrupt and unresponsive to the will of the people, have abused taxing powers, and become entirely untenable.
17. We, the people, hereby express our intent to revise, repeal, and correct as necessary those abuses which have been borne by these people of the United States
for decades and restore the prosperity of our great nation.
We encourage all Americans of like mind to join with us to bring about righting the wrongs and returning our country to the people and in so doing create a truly responsive government of the people, by the people, and for the PEOPLE.
